I got the truck checked and then did chores!!!

Hello Fellow Wayward Travelers!!!

Can you believe that it is July 1st already!!??

I am sitting in “camp” today doing chores after leaving the Ford Dealer’s Service Department!! They checked over my Little Ford Truck and found out that the noise was caused from a crack in the exhaust manifold on the right side of my engine (that is what I was thinking and hoping for!!). They also quoted the repair for this as about $1,500.00 (it’s best to do both sides at the same time since if one goes, the other will go a little while after – and it’s actually cheaper to do them both at once than separately!) and that it probably won’t be complete until after July 4th!!! Well, I asked the question – what if I do nothing!!! The answer was – the noise will get louder, there may be exhaust fumes in the car, and I may start losing power! I can live with the noise; I will keep the windows partially open; I will watch for a decrease in power (I think that this is bunk, but I didn’t say so!!!). Then I asked if any engine damage could occur or damage to parts surrounding the engine and he said “No!”!!! So, I said that I will live with it until I got home, but that if I noticed anything drastic, I would get it into a Ford Dealer. He told me that this sounded like a good plan!!!

Other than the truck, not much happened today!! And I have no photos for you to see!!! When I got back to the trailer I needed to do all kinds of domestic things so it became one of those days of cleaning and preparation!!!

First, I did laundry!! Because I had run out of clothes!!! Then I went and got caught up on my BLOG Posts and mailings!! Then, I started to plan my next week or so of driving and parking and museum touring!!! With this being the July 4th week, finding RV Parks was difficult, so when I found one in Maine that had an opening until Monday, July 8th, I took it. I will do my exploring from a base camp near Bangor Maine!!! After this week, things should get back to normal for the RV Parks!!!

NOTE --- I ADDED THE STORIES AND PHOTOS TO MY BLOG POST DATED 06/30/2013! BE SURE TO READ IT!!!

Talking about weather --- It’s overcast like Seattle and it’s misty and raining like Seattle and it is almost like Seattle EXCEPT it is HOT (closer to 80 degrees) and HUMID!!! Otherwise, I would feel right at home!!!

Well, I am running out of things to say, and I have no photos, so, with that, I will go for now, but I will see you all again tomorrow. I should be in New Hampshire for tomorrow night!!!

Again, to quote that great comedian, Red Skelton, "Good Night and May God Bless!"

Happy Trails ---- Jon
