Hello Fellow Wayward Travelers!!!

It's your "Wandering Wayward Traveler" almost ready to take his road trip in his Little Ford Pickup pulling his Little Nomad Travel Trailer.

The Truck is ready and the Trailer is ready and I am mentally ready! All I need to do is finish packing tonight and get everything lined up and ready to load into the trailer tomorrow morning. And I am almost done with all those preparations! I just need to pack the food and I am ready.

I made my first reservation at the first camp ground today near Oregon City, Oregon. I’ll be there a few days because there is so much to see. It may be the beginning of my journey, but for our pioneers, it was the end of theirs. My guide book says that there is a lot to see so I think that I will keep busy for those few days. I get to see a few museums and some exhibits and a little bit of the Oregon country. And, I will take lots of pictures!!!

There’s really not much to say about today. It was busy for me --- getting things ready for the trip and getting my home ready for my House Sitter. I won’t bore you with the details (and I am tired) so we will just leave this post as being very short!!??

So, on Sunday, 05/19/2013, at about 12:00 Noon the 2013 Oregon Trail Road Trip will officially start! It is here and we are here, so let’s go!!! As the Wagon Masters used to say when they needed to get the wagon trains going (at least in the movies), “Wagons, HO!!!”

There’s more to come, so keep in touch!!!

Well, I am going to close for tonight, but I will see you all again tomorrow and to quote the great comedian, Red Skelton, “Good Night and May God Bless!”

Happy Trails --- Jon
